HOW HUNGRY ARE YOU?
-By Owen Gee-

Had to share this, especially for the nitwit new TALENT out there…

Have you ever seen Jimmy Jatt play? Outside the reputation being the earliest to arrive any venue, he plays like it is his last gig. Like his life depends on it.
His skill seems to step up a notch with each performance. The crowds’ response is often the undeniable affirmation that king DJ Jimmy Jatt has still got it.
Why is this remarkable? Because Jimmy has been doing his thing for over 20 years and his success has not slowed down his push for excellence. When he looks in the mirror, the last thing he sees is a big boy who has arrived. He doesn’t need to be affiliated to a label or radio station to get props, a self made overachiever yet his hunger is scary.
The most talked about player across the world this weekend is also the richest (past and present) African footballer ever. He owns an entire telecoms network in Cameroun. Yet the fire in his belly leaves him in form for a hat-trick. Playing like he was being auditioned.
Now you, how much have you done? Is this the zenith of your dreams? Are you easily overwhelmed by the distance between where you started and where you are?
If so, be careful. These things vanish in an instance. The spirit of the “big boy is anti greatness” that is why most of the big boy comedians in Nigeria are half as funny as these new comic acts. Why first albums are often always the best albums.
That is why 17 years later 2face is still eating with his grandchildren in music. HUNGER…HUNGER makes the difference I ask again. How hungry are you?

BE FRIENDLY BUT CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS

In life, we will always need people. God did not create us to be in isolation. I guess that explains why Eve came into existence after the creation of Adam. . . . . As social being, we have an innate desire to connect with people, to experience dynamic relationship with one another. This need is as fundamental as our need for food and water. . . . . . So, my friend, drop that claim that you don't need anybody in life because you do. There is a symbiotic relationship between you and the society in which you live. . . . . . You know what? Solitary can be a terrible thing for human. Hence, everybody needs someone. Truth is, friendship adds to the fullness of life. . . . . . However... . . . . . You need to be careful of the kind of people you associate w...
