SAFE SPACES FOR YOUTH TO EXPRESS THEIR UNIQUENESS (Part One)

The glory of every youth lies in their strengths.

Your fingerprint is exceptional and sets you apart from any other personality. You're uniquely and wonderfully made. You're ordained for exploits.

The greatest gift you can give to humanity is selfless service and sacrifice of resourcefulness and that's what will determine your uniqueness.

Global Changers are not noise makers, they are news makers.

There are lots of spaces that youth can occupy in their communities and countries but it is a great pity to see so many of them living average lives instead of expressing their ultimate uniqueness.

And they can discover this wondrous paths by embracing lifestyles of resourcefulness.

On this note and at this juncture, I will be showing you few ways of maximizing opportunities and spaces available for you as a youth.

First of all is to stay relevant. Discover what you can do to make significant impact. What are you so passionate about? It is what will be driving you. If you're not passionate about doing anything, it will only reduce your rate of being influential and living phenomenal. Everyone of us have one or two gifts or talents that make us very special. The more we use them the more space we fill. And the more fulfil we feel.

Secondly, be visionary. You need to be driven by a compelling vision. The BIGGER your vision, the higher you attain great zeniths of greatness. Don't wait until you have the privilege of having millions, start with what you have. Start with a vision inside your mind. Start with an idea. You need idea to rule the world. What you see is who you become. If you see yourself as a grasshopper that's who you'll eventually become.

Thirdly, be a solution provider or carrier. The more problem you solve, the more valuable and preferable you become. You won't be a liability but an asset. There are deluge of problems in your community and country. Step up from your slumber or better still do more of what you do the most. You can solve the problem of transportation, education, ICT and the likes.

To be continued...

ONE MAJOR WAY OF BEING RESPONSIVE TO YOUR ABILITY

By PRAISE AKOBO It's possible you may or may not have thought of 'responsibility' as a 'response to ability'. So, let's roll. .. .. .. Have you checked, how that, when you were given a task, be it in school, church, office, firm or even that which you gave yourself? Did you see that, somehow, you felt lackadaisical at first but decided to take the bull by its horn? Now, the ability to do that was resident within, but came alive when you chose to act, this is why you hear words like UNTIL YOU GET STARTED, YOU CAN NOT START. .. .. .. I discovered that I understood something's about myself when I was given a responsibility in an N.G.O and accepted it. Just like you, I hesitated but until today, that has been a major factor in my growth. My NETWORK grew as well my NET WORTH. Lets say for instance, you are asked to be part of an Editorial Committee, you finally accepted, then along the line, you discovered ...
FILL YOUR OWN MOULD By Emeka Nobis I had boasted to Ikenna and my classmates that I could play the number five position in football. That was borne out of envy because Ikenna's football skills were hailed. I decided to tame his mouth. That was in 1992, my second year of secondary school at Marist Comprehensive Academy, Okigwe. I became the last substitution in the fifth minute of the second half of a match our school played with a neighbouring school. That meant I couldn't be replaced anymore. It was absolute tomfoolery. I ran around the pitch in a pattern similar to pollen grains in water. I couldn't even trap the ball, mostly letting it pass through the hollow of my legs to the opponents. I was playing what was called "Shorting one" in our local parlance. Football wasn't just my forte. For me, it was eating the desert before the entrĂ©e in a four-course meal.  But it was different when I handled a pen and a sheet of paper. I could write e...
