SEE THE CHANGE

This interview was in February 2004, three months after Eji Owuro was released.

When challenges come, and it looks like I should give up, I am led to, with staying strong and being sure of The Father's mercy, read my old books, look at old pictures, and see how far the mercy of GOD has brought me.

Line upon line, step on step, on purpose, I am here. And still going on, strong and steady. Here cannot even compare to the beauty of "there", as much as I am deeply thankful and privileged to have been here at all.

Whoever you are, let your hope rise again at this time. It is a journey. Success does not happen "just like that". You got here, you'll get there. And I am talking to myself too!
Raise your head up, square your shoulders, it'll occur to you that your feet have been made strong all this while, you only didn't know because your head was bowed in discouragement!

You've found it like me? Keep at it. You are not sure of it? Put in more effort at what you've found for now, it'll unfold. You are confused about it? Be your best at what you're doing now and strive to find it, you'll find.

You'll see the change. I see the change. The growth. The transformation. The metamorphosis wasn't easy. A lot of groanings, but still keeping on. Even as a higher step is being climbed now, but I see the change. See the change!

Remember that Baba Abraham laughed himself, who directly got the promise? Not to talk of Mama Sarah? Both of them! Check out The Book properly again! Remember the change they eventually saw? I am trying to say, it may tarry but it won't! Ó lè pé sugbon kò lè yè!
This has been my confidence over the years, coupled with doing whatever my hands find to do with all my might, living by the values of The Father, learning from every situation, picking that which is beneficial to me, using the method of separation, seclusion, segregation; my mind being transformed everyday.

And I see the change! Oh, I see the change! And I shall see the change! Yes, I shall!

See the change! Oh, you shall see the change!

Reflect a bit. Disallow and diffuse all the pressure pushing you. Think back, sincerely. See the change!

We shall see the change!

FROM AN INSECURE HOUSEWIFE TO AN INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATED MAKEUP ARTIST By Love Olaleye As an undergraduate in the university, I engaged in different business like buying and selling clothes, making zobo, just to earn some money to augment the pocket money that never seemed enough. None of these businesses brought me the kind of joy I experienced when I decided to pursue my passion in makeup. First I became a Mary Kay rep; I would sell and show students how to use the products they bought. The joy that beams on their faces was fulfilling, despite the frustration of running after debtors. I remember my first bride who happened to have been my friend who was kind enough to allow me experiment on her face. As I drove out early hours of the morning around 6am, my car brakes suddenly failed, I ran into a tree off the road but God saved me, no scratch, I came out and the car was badly damaged. As the car was being towed home, it was a decisive moment, I had to decide w...
GIVE YOUR TALENT A ROOM FOR GERMINATION AND FRUITING! “I didn't have to stumble and grope stealthily in the darkness, stride recklessly on the rocky paths or swim nonchalantly in the murky waters. Neither did I gamble with the hypothetical cards, nor stroll through life at ease with no aim and subjected to all whims and caprice.” By Olajumoke Hadassah It wasn't a submission to hobby, desires and ambitions! The story of my talent is a reality settled before my existence. It was one predestined from the foundation of the world. Am I a born writer? I think so. But more importantly, I am made, and still in the making. I started writing at a young age. I was an ardent writer of 'story books.' And I finished my first 'complete' book at the age of thirteen. My writing has an history, one which began right in my home. With my Father as a writer, my first experience in the literary world was inside his 'Room-Library'. At a point I felt my ...
