WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PUSH FOR TRUE CHANGE?

Austria on December 12, 2018, made history by electing the world's youngest president, who is 31 years old. His name is Sebastian Kurz. Before those elections, he was the country's foreign minister. While our youth are contented with being used, praise singers and be special assistants on social media, youth elsewhere are disrupting the status quo, pushing for innovation, changing the narrative and pushing for new frontiers.

From Facebook to Snapchat and Taxify, these tech giants were founded by millennials who are youth. Mark Zukerberg is just 32 years old and the youngest billionaire in the world. The bar has been raised in Austria, that elected a 31 year old man, as its leader.

A 31 year old man in Africa, is probably in his parents house, unemployed, broke, eating free food and not bothered. The 31 year old Africans are feeling big, supporting politicians (who directly or indirectly put us in the mess we are in), on Facebook without seeing the nexus between the failed leadership and present unemployment predicament.

I weep for our youth, many of whom are wasting away, forgetting that time waits for no one. The condition in Africa is not helping matters though, and then my generation is not ready to push for change.

Those who have bank jobs, think they are on top of the world, forgetting that the owners of the banks, were billionaires at their age. The women get married, and drive their husband's cars, and think they have arrived. I ask myself and other young people reading this, what are you doing with your life? Are you happy with the way you are at the moment? What are you doing to push for true change?

Have you checked, how that, when you were given a task, be it in school, church, office, firm or even that which you gave yourself? Did you see that, somehow, you felt lackadaisical at first but decided to take the bull by its horn? Now, the ability to do that was resident within, but came alive when you chose to act, this is why you hear words like UNTIL YOU GET STARTED, YOU CAN NOT START. .. .. .. I discovered that I understood something's about myself when I was given a responsibility in an N.G.O and accepted it. Just like you, I hesitated but until today, that has been a major factor in my growth. My NETWORK grew as well my NET WORTH. Lets say for instance, you are asked to be part of an Editorial Committee, you finally accepted, then along the line, you discovered ...

No free meal.” -Iziaq Olawale- As a bachelor who speaks across the country and beyond in his verge to add value through his business of MINDgineering and encouragement, my experience in some restaurants from highly rated ones in Victoria island to the so – called mama put on the mainland even in some bukas/local restaurants at Shibiri, Ojo Lagos has taught me some indispensable lessons which I’ll like to share with you today. As I visit some local restaurants in the city, I observed that some of them usually ask for money before service while others do allow you to pay your bill after service.
