FROM 9-5 HUSTLE TO ENTREPRENEUR BUSTLE (Part 1) Right from my university days, I knew that I wasn't cut out for a 9-5 job so I made a mental note to start my own business right after graduation. During lectures, I would often catch myself in class daydreaming about my business empire. I could describe it vividly to anyone who care to hear about what my office looked like, the number of staff working for me and of course, the annual returns in dollars. In my final year, I moved from daydreaming to visualising and documenting what I saw in my mind's eyes. I was so sure that starting my business would be a piece of fresh baked cake. Oh boy, was I wrong! My final examinations dragged for so long, I thought the year will never come to an end. Impatiently, I waited for the graduation ceremony. Then there was the compulsory NYSC. It was as if the government and the school authority conspired to delay the start of my business. Suddenly I finished service and life happene...

PHOTOBOMBING AND THE BUSINESS OF SHOWING UP “Jumoke's story is that of a humble beginning not despised. One that should prong us in our heart, to mind our business diligently, despite the ups and downs ” -Emeka Nwarulor- Imagine you woke up one morning, going about your business and all of a sudden, boom! You're the next big headline on every media platform. That's the story of Olajumoke Orisaguna, a lady who photobombed a photo shoot session of celebrity photographer, TY Bello. With just few hours opening an Instagram account she had attracted over 10k followers, myself inclusive. After so much buzz about this lady, I decided to read up her story myself. From a bread seller to a celebrity model, her story can be said to be one of divine orchestration. In picture: Olajumoke Orisaguna and Tinie Tempah.   Well, for this post, I won't dwell on the 'miracle' as some might tag it, hurriedly heading for the pulpit to testify. I. will sha...
IDEAS WORTH MORE THAN MILLIONS OF NAIRA   “No matter how potent a drug is, if you believe it won't aid you, it most likely won't.” - Aminat Kalejaye- Good morning, Last night I was a guest on the 'Warriors not Sicklers’ Q/A segment where these 'warriors' discuss with a life coach about stigma, despair and embarrassment their medical condition is causing them. I'd like to share a few nuggets from the session; 1. 80% of drug effectiveness is based on your MIND. No matter how potent a drug is, if you believe it won't aid you, it most likely won't. 2. Master your mind/thinking process, emotions, anger and behavioural patterns. If you can, you can manage the complications of any medical condition. 3.   NOTHING CAN CHAIN YOU, UNLESS YOU EMPOWER IT. 4. Your problem usually is not YOUR SITUATION, but HOW YOU HANDLE IT. 5. If you process NEGATIVE THOUGHTS it will CONTROL your MIND, and generate COMPLICATIONS with your ...
WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR OWN WAY.. -Lara Kudayisi- When you desire a thing and you pray about it. You pray, fast, hold on to prophecies and confess your needs so much but you never got the result you really desire. You conclude that God is going to come late and big and the cycle continues year in, year out. Sometimes, when this happens, God has come through for you but you never saw Him. He came through some uncommon avenues and opportunities that you weren't used to and so you either didn't recognize It or you discarded it . You are waiting for the Spectacular. Someone once said "Opportunities shrink in size when it gets closer, so people waiting for it overlook it". Your need could be tied to a training, workshop, coaching or conversation but you are still waiting for the usual that has gotten you nowhere thus far. I beg to say if you must do something different this year, you need to overhaul your old system and get new knowledge or do new thi...
