CELEBRATING A GREAT MENTOR: REV. SAM ADEYEMI!

“Your capacity for Success is rooted in your God-nature. It is God’s nature to Succeed. When God’s nature is birthed in you, it becomes your nature to be Successful.”
Sam Adeyemi
Host, Success Power & Senior Pastor, Daystar Christian Centre

By James Asu

It was a beautiful Monday morning sitting inside the White House with President Barrack Obama and taking a gaze at the shinning sun
I was eating pounded yam and egusi soup with his Excellency, making merry, so ecstatic and having lots of fun
Senators were all asking themselves, why was he so full of joy?
Even ministers’ stopped by to get full glimpse of the ecstasy
I told them it is as a result of the remembrance of the birth of a great mentor
A man who have passion for raising role models and also an authentic pastor
He is so caring, loving and humble
He is someone who believes that all things are possible
He has being raising excellent leaders through DLA

I believe this is an innate ability resident in his DNA
He always told me that, “You’re born to succeed”
He concluded by saying, “And you will succeed”
He has been a role model to so many youths
His message also encourage those who are adults
He believes in individual, communal and national transformation
And he is pursuing this with lots of passion and action
Why have I taken out time to write this to you despite my tight schedule today?
It is because of the level of impacts you’ve had in my life and in others living here Nigeria and others in countries faraway
Whenever I see you on TV Screen I see a man with real positive power
You are a destiny builder and hope giver through your success power
Through this program you’ve helped many to kick-start their ideas
Many who were once jobless, penniless and hopeless but through it they’ve established their own businesses and birth their dreams to realities.
Today I joined the entire universe in celebrating a great mentor; Reverend Sam. Adeyemi. He is a great man of purpose whose unflinching passion is seeing people attaining peaks of ultimate success, endless joy and unlimited victory in all ramifications of life. I am wishing you Success-filled life Sir. It is my heartfelt prayer and utmost desire that the Lord will make His anointing, favour, blessing and wisdom to keep abounding in your life, family and ministry in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

4O STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESSFUL LEADING (Series One) By OlaPurpose James Asu  I will briefly share on things you need to know in order to succeed as a leader. I shared ten of them yesterday on twitter @PurposeIcon. Today evening by 7pm I will be sharing 15 strategies and the remaining 15 on Saturday morning by 1 1 am . I caught the inspiration of this piece when I was on my way to the office, it came to me when I got to Adeniran Ogunsanya in Surulere :   1. To lead others successfully, you must first lead yourself successfully. 2. To lead a corporation, organization or nation successfully, you must first lead yourself successfully. 3. To lead successfully you must be a man of your word. Your word must be your bond. Fidelity and integrity must be given top priority. 4. To lead successfully, you must love everyone you’re leading and avoid hating anyone. 5. To lead successfully you must be joyful and hopeful at all times regardless ...

ONE MAJOR WAY OF BEING RESPONSIVE TO YOUR ABILITY

By PRAISE AKOBO It's possible you may or may not have thought of 'responsibility' as a 'response to ability'. So, let's roll. .. .. .. Have you checked, how that, when you were given a task, be it in school, church, office, firm or even that which you gave yourself? Did you see that, somehow, you felt lackadaisical at first but decided to take the bull by its horn? Now, the ability to do that was resident within, but came alive when you chose to act, this is why you hear words like UNTIL YOU GET STARTED, YOU CAN NOT START. .. .. .. I discovered that I understood something's about myself when I was given a responsibility in an N.G.O and accepted it. Just like you, I hesitated but until today, that has been a major factor in my growth. My NETWORK grew as well my NET WORTH. Lets say for instance, you are asked to be part of an Editorial Committee, you finally accepted, then along the line, you discovered ...
FILL YOUR OWN MOULD By Emeka Nobis I had boasted to Ikenna and my classmates that I could play the number five position in football. That was borne out of envy because Ikenna's football skills were hailed. I decided to tame his mouth. That was in 1992, my second year of secondary school at Marist Comprehensive Academy, Okigwe. I became the last substitution in the fifth minute of the second half of a match our school played with a neighbouring school. That meant I couldn't be replaced anymore. It was absolute tomfoolery. I ran around the pitch in a pattern similar to pollen grains in water. I couldn't even trap the ball, mostly letting it pass through the hollow of my legs to the opponents. I was playing what was called "Shorting one" in our local parlance. Football wasn't just my forte. For me, it was eating the desert before the entrée in a four-course meal.  But it was different when I handled a pen and a sheet of paper. I could write e...
